  The Mahoning Valley Ambulance Association is found in the foot hills of the Pocono Mountains, approximately 7 miles southwest of Jim Thorpe. We're located 80 miles north of Philadelphia and 25 miles north of Allentown. The Mahoning Valley Ambulance Association is an all volunteer organization and has been in service since 1973. Since it is volunteer, most of the members have full-time jobs and yet give freely of their family time to provide you with the service you sometimes need. Mahoning Valley Ambulance covers an area of 55 square miles. We cover Mahoning Township and East Penn Township, which is nestled between Mahoning Mountain and the Blue Mountain. Annually we complete about 300-400 calls.

      Wondering what it takes to be a volunteer EMT or Driver? Check out the ER Program page or Download an application if you have experience in EMS and willingness and desire to help fellow members of your community. We provide the training necessary to accomplish these goals as a Driver and or Emergency Medical Technician. So stop by and check us out.

If you still want to help your community but don't want to run on the ambulance?

Help is greatly needed with our special functions!! All ages are welcome. Many of our ambulance crew members also assist with banquests and social activities during the weekends, in addition to holding full-time jobs. Any amount of time you can give to assist us at these functions would be greatly appreciated. Many people don't realize that our social functions provide the majority of funds for equipment and training of personnel.

Some jobs include:

• Banquet Table Set-up

• Banquet Servers

• Food Preparation

• Clean-Up Crews 

• Kitchen Help

• And Many Others!!!
